Since their inception, both the centers have been serving the community and standing as a source of inspiration and tranquility and peace to all the Sai devotees. The places have evolved into a sacred Shirdi for the USA East Coast region and facilitate worship services similar to that in Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi, India. The main objective is to promote the gist of his teachings and philosophy of Sai Baba, Shraddha (devotion) and Saburi (patience).
Nori Foundation Inc, in addition to community service, also promotes harmony among all cultures, promotes human values and provides sanctum for everyone. Nori Foundation stands as a model on how to accomplish collectively and with integrity.
Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu

Dr. Nori was instrumental in introducing the current techniques and clinical concepts of High Dose Rate Brach therapy for gynecological, genitourinary, thoracic and head and neck tumors. His research also included efforts to improve the outcome for patients with prostate cancer, lung cancer, pancreas, breast and other cancers.
Dr Nori served in the American Cancer Society in various positions including chairmanship of the Professional Education Committee. Dr. Nori has provided technical and scientific help to many cancer centers in India, South America and Israel, and he is also the Founding Member of the Indo-American Cancer Institute for Women and Children, a state-of-the art 450 bed cancer and research institute located in Hyderabad, A.P. which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India in 2001. In addition, Dr. Nori is a Consultant to the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency, advising on the formulation of guidelines for the treatment of cancer in developing countries.
In a recent survey conducted by the reputable Castle Connolly Medical Ltd and published in America’s Top Doctors, Dr. Nori has been selected as one of the top doctors in America. In this survey, more than 250,000 leading doctors were asked to name the nation’s best physicians in various specialties – those “to whom you would send members of your family”. The most important criterion for physician selection was excellence in patient care, education, residency, board certification, fellowships, professional reputation, research, hospital affiliation, academic stature and medical school faculty appointment and experience.
In a more recent survey done by the most popular woman’s magazine in the U.S., The Ladies’ Home Journal, Dr. Nori has also been named as one of the top doctors in America for the treatment of cancers in women. The American Cancer Society honored him with their highest prestigious award “Tribute to Life” for his accomplishments in cancer research. He was also presented with the Dr Yelavarthy Nayudamma Memorial Award in 2006. Dr. Nori was also honored by Governor John Corzine and by New York Council Speaker Gifford Millar for his contributions to cancer research.
Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori is driven by a passion for helping the less fortunate. He believes strongly in the principle of service to society. Dr. Nori says ” For all the knowledge one gains and the expertise one accumulates, there is not much satisfaction unless there is humanity in one’s work”.

His magnificent marble statue, which is 6- ft high and sculptured over base rock of 4ft wide, weighing approximately three tons, with all the silver ornaments i.e. throne, crown, umbrella, makaratoranam, swastiks and lions has been installed. The installation of this life size statue, (Idol) an exact replica of the one at Shirdi, which is carved by same family, world-renowned Pembarthi artisans from India was and inaugurated in Baldwin on July 4th 2002..

The day in the Mandir starts with the morning aarathi called Kakakad aarathi. After the Kakad aarathi the Abhishekam is performed and the darshan of the Baba begins for the devotees. On special occasions the Abhishekam is followed by Sri Satyanarayana Puja. There is the Madhayana Aarathi follwed by the Sai Satcharitra adhyana reading. At sunset it is the Dhoop Aarathi follwed by Bhajans, Keertan and music. The day’s activities are concluded with Sheja aarathi.
